UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS

MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Model United Nations conferences are held throughout the world and are attended by thousands of students. The conferences are designed to help students improve their debating and research skills, as well develop their leadership qualities and public speaking confidence. Students are required to ‘think on their feet’ and to prepare and argue on behalf of their respective countries about real international issues.
FUTURE GLOBAL LEADERS CONFERENCE
The International Schools Partnership’s Future Global Leaders Conference is a debate and diplomacy conference offering students aged 13-17 the opportunity to come together to debate some of our society’s most pressing issues.
The topics of debate – such as creating an equitable education, combatting climate change, redressing historical racial injustices, ensuring digital privacy, or addressing the gender pay-gap – are diverse, significant, global, and complex.
THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S INTERNATIONAL AWARD
We are one of the few secondary schools in Spain to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a youth awards programme founded in the UK that recognises adolescents and young adults for completing a series of self-improvement exercises. Doing the Award is a personal challenge and not a competition against others; it pushes young people to their personal limits and recognises their achievements.
ISP BUDDY EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
The ISP Buddy Exchange Programme enables reciprocal exchanges between ISP schools for a period of one month for students aged between 14 – 17 years of age. It is an experience that promises to offer students amazing and diverse learning opportunities within a safe and secure environment.

FUTURE CHOICES

The Lady Elizabeth School provides career, university, and social and emotional counselling services to all secondary students, and we will continue to open as many doors as possible for our Sixth Form students, to prepare them for entry into the best Spanish and international universities, and to ensure our students are at the forefront of scholarship opportunities in every subject.

Other initiatives such as an annual careers fair, psychometric testing and work experience provide further opportunities for students to explore their potential careers.
